CaNcUn

For Jackson's 8th birthday Grandpa and Grandma Kemp took him to Cancun, Mexico for a week. He was so excited before. He had to get a passport, that he was so excited about. He told his teacher that he got it so he could go to a different State. He left last Sunday and he asked me if it was against the rules to go on an airplane on Sunday! He just got baptised and he wants to do what is right...what a sweet boy! He had a blast while he was there! He swam with Dolphins, went on a zip line that went 40-50 feet above the jungle and then jumped from 30 feet into a sink hole, snorkeled, made t-shirts and painted glass figurines, swam in the pool and ocean, took a catamaran out into 30 foot deep water...in the middle of the ocean and saw a barracuda, and loved every minute! He called us twice (once on Friday and once on Saturday) and told us that there was something different about him, and that the sun was very hot. I asked him if he was tan and he said no. I started wondering if his hair was blond or shaved and then he told me "I'm brown". It was darling. He told Grandpa and Grandma all week long that this was his "golden birthday" because he got to go on this trip. We missed him while he was gone but I'm so thankful that he got this experience that he'll remember forever and that he made memories with his grandparents that are priceless. I've always wanted my children to have strong bonds with all their grandparents and I'm so blessed that they do!!! We made him a welcome home poster and we were so excited to see him when he got home! The kids all missed each other and were so excited to see one another. We're glad he's back!

ZoO

On Friday we met all our cousins at the zoo! Jackson has been in Cancun all week so we had planned lots of fun things to do with Chloe and Ella. Ryan and Natalie had driven up from Arizona the day before and we were so excited to see them because it had been months!! The kids enjoyed being together and getting to see all the animals! Saturday the boys went dirt biking and then we met up in Salt Lake at Jenny and Jared's for a BBQ. We love having the kids all together. What a fun weekend!

On Thursday I went to the farm with my friend Cathy and her darling kids. It was a beautiful day and the animals seemed excited that there were so many people to see them. There was a baby calf that would nibble on anything that he could get a hold of, he got Ella's dress and the stroller (she wasn't too happy). Chloe loved the baby bunnies. All the kids rode the horses, Chloe is a pro, Cathy's boy Max did a great job and wanted to go over and over (she wasn't sure he'd even do it) and Ella went for her first time and lasted through half the ride with a death grip on my arm before she decided it was enough. We ended the afternoon at McDonald's where the kids ate and played and Cathy and I were able to catch up....it was fabulous! We stopped by my parents after and Chloe caught a bird. I'm pretty sure we got our fill of animals for one day.

Chloe had her last day of school on Wednesday the 20th. We love her teacher Miss Ann, she is SO good. She has made so many wonderful friends that we also love. She learned her letter's and how to write her name. She loved being the snack leader, and Miss Ann's cat. She asked every morning if she had school, I know she'll miss it, but she'll go back in the fall. Now it's time to hit the pools and go on some family vacations!!!

MoThEr'S dAy 20o9

Mother's day was so fun! My kids have pampered me all week. Chloe made a darling card and brought home a flower early in the week. On Friday Jackson's entire first grade class put on a darling performance for all the Mom's and then took us back to the class room for lemonade and cookies. Sunday morning they worked extra hard to be good and get ready for church fast, I kept hearing them say "remember it's Mother's Day." We went to my cousin Michelle's mission farewell and then had lunch at their home. It was fun to spend the day with so many mother's that I have always looked up to and respected! We had dinner later in the evening at my Mom's and then went on a family bike ride. The weather was beautiful and it was just a really fun day!

On Saturday May 2nd Jackson celebrated his birthday and his baptism. He has been so excited for this day and it finally came. We were so blessed to be surrounded by so many loved ones on this special day. Everything was perfect! It was raining and I even thought that was appropriate. It reminded me of the primary song that says "...I want my life to be as clean as earth right after rain..." Jackson I'm so proud of your decision to be baptised. You are a wonderful example to your little sisters. You are so loving, kind, funny, smart and you add so much to our family! We love you!!!

MoToCrOsS

On April 25th we went to Rice Eccles Stadium to watch the Motocross. It had been pouring all day, but the rain let up for the main events at night and it was a beautiful (maybe a little cold) night. We've been keeping up with the races each week and it was fun to see it in person. The TV doesn't do it justice. James Stewart won and we were excited. We loved being with lots of friends and having a fun date night!

The kids went with the guys early in the morning, but it was
pouring rain and they didn't get to see much. They had more
fun when they got back to Jared and Jenny's to play.
