EasTeR

We had such a great Easter Sunday! Jackson was up at 6:30am wondering if we could see what the Easter bunny brought...no. When we all were up, we went together to see what the Easter bunny brought. I loved watching the kids as they were so excited about every little thing! Parker had brought home baby chicks last night and they were a big hit. We loved going to church and the kids looked so cute in their new Easter outfits. After church I got a much needed nap!!! My brother David came over for dinner and then we played baseball. We had an Easter egg hunt and carrot cake to finish off the beautiful day! Did I mention that the weather was absolutely amazing today?
Jackson's mini remote control car
Chloe and her new littlest pet shop
Oh yeah! We love chocolate and Ella's new stroller that
she strolled around all day
Jackson and Chloe are such great friends!
My handsome boy who is almost 8 and getting
ready to be baptised
Ella, you are so sweet! You can always make us
laugh.
My beautiful Chloe, you are such a big helper!
During the Easter egg hunt Ella was
content with just this egg
Chloe would get so surprised with each new egg she found
Jackson is the fastest egg collector I have ever seen,
and that's one big basket!

This morning started at 9am with a rainy and cold soccer game of Jackson's. We (as his ultimate fans) huddled under blankets and an umbrella. He did so awesome!!! At 11am we were out again watching Chloe play soccer. She and her friend Isaac play together and she always has a smile on her face! After the game it started raining again so we had quiet time and watched "bedtime stories" and then made socks puppets. The kids put on a darling puppet show! To end the day we made chocolate chip cookies together. It was the perfect rainy day!!!
Jackson didn't complain once about being cold!
Go Jacks!

Chloe does this every time she gets excited!

DyiNg EgGs

Last night we colored Easter eggs! The kids loved mixing the colors and creating their eggs. I just sat back and watched as Jackson and Chloe did it almost all by themselves. We had little eyes and smile stickers for them to put on the eggs. Ella loved holding her own egg until she threw it like a ball (it didn't bounce!).
We are all getting so excited to celebrate Easter this Sunday.
Concentration

Ooooh!
Jackson loved the faces
Chloe's favorite color was pink, there were
a lot of those
Way to go kids! They look awesome.

Jackson has been playing basketball on a team with some friends from school. They had their last game last week. He did so good all season! He scored every game and is quite the defender! He is already looking forward to next season!

Oh ChLoe...

On the way home from picking up Jackson from school today Jackson was telling us about how great he's gotten at tether ball.
Jackson: "Mom my hits are getting so good, I always beat Oakland now, I whoop his butt."
Chloe: "Mom, whoop his butt is a fancy word for beating him."

Oh my gosh I thought I was going to crash the car, I was laughing so hard that tears were rolling down my face. I guess reading "Fancy Nancy" almost every night is really rubbing off on her!
(butt is not a "fancy word" and it's one we don't encourage!)

Tonight for dinner we had chicken nuggets, peas, and mashed potatoes and gravy. At least that is what it looked like! The chicken nuggets were cookies with peanut butter on top dipped in corn flakes, the peas were airheads and the mashed potatoes and gravy...ice cream with caramel sauce. It was funny to watch the kids take their first bites. Chloe told me she hated peas and didn't want to eat them. She ate every one, I think they were her favorite! I love April fools, it's so fun!
